1. a brief history of the company-when was it set up and by whom, how have they grown since setting up?


    It is the world's second-largest media association as of 2011 in terms of revenue, and the world's third largest in entertainment as of 2009, although the BBC remains the world's largest broadcaster.The company's chairman and chief executive is Rupert Murdoch
In 1953, Murdoch became managing director of News Limited, inherited from his father. He acquired troubled newspapers in Australia and New Zealand during the 1950s and '60s before expanding into the UK in 1969, taking over the news of the world and then the sun, which he built into Britain's best selling daily. He moved to New York in 1974 and expanded into the US market, and in 1985 he became a US citizen.

  1. It is a bit of a shame Liam that you didnt get more work done in the hour that we had with the 8 questions about the company. Although you have found some good information it is mostly cut and pasted from the internet which at GCSE level you can't really get any marks for. Next time try answering more questions in the classtime, ask if you need help, and try and put internet information into your own words.
